I'm looking at getting the dealer to install the 3" TRD lift kit. When I bought the truck (certified pre-owned) I got offers from numerous third parties for extended warranties. I ended up going with a company called Integrity Admin Group. However, installing a lift kit after I bought the truck will void their ENTIRE warranty-ALL of it, not just the suspension. The good news is I can cancel this warranty with no penalty. However, I still want an (extended) warranty. Does anyone have any suggestions for third parties that will play nice with the OEM-produced and installed TRD kit? I haven't yet called Toyota and asked them what their policies would look like here, I'm currently just curious about third-party warranties. I understand Toyota will warranty the lift kit itself, but I'm concerned about the rest of the truck in its entirety. Thanks.

Yes, I'm under 36k and currently waiting to hear back from Toyota on all of this. I also asked them what their policy is on tires larger than OEM recommended...not 37's, but maybe/hopefully 35's :p

The only 3rd party company I've heard of will even entertain offering a full coverage warranty on a modified truck is Endurance. Supposedly, they can customize a warranty quote that can include modifications like lifts, larger tires, etc. No clue how expensive it is. I've only heard their name thrown around a few times.

Be sure to shop several Toyota dealerships for the best quote on an extended warranty.

I found out after finalizing my purchase that my dealership raped me for $3400 for a 8-year 100K platinum plan. Another dealership offered me the same plan for $1900. I gave my dealership the option of matching the lower quote and refunding me the difference, or else I would cancel my plan with them, get a full refund, then purchase the lower priced plan. They matched it and refunded me $1500.

ouch, 1900 is still about 4-500 more than going thru preferred method in the ext warranty thread :)

i think a oem toyota plan maxes at ~$2000 for 10/125 plan.

thanks, I looked into them, and by almost all accounts of my research they are one of the top warranty companies out there even without any mods (e.g. they cover "wear and tear" failures-so if X breaks because Y failed, they cover both X and Y, whereas most seem to cover just X). also, they permit up to a 4" lift (granted it's installed by a certified tech) that won't void anything else. however, the lift itself isn't covered (but in my case, I'd have the warranty that comes with just the TRD lift kit).

there was a one-time charge to do it this way, I think around $350. the dude I spoke with knew his stuff. the largest-size tires they permit are 35x1250.
