I want replace the head unit and speakers in my 2017 Platinum w/ jbl system. I’m now realizing that the factory jbl amp is the issue. Any suggestions to upgrading it? Also, should I use an I data link for a new HU?

Get a headunit that is Maestro compatible so you don't loose all your oem functions. You can then get a DSR-1 with I-datalink harness so it's all plug in play then you can run any amp you want.

James at tech12volt can set you up with what you need. He even programs the dsr1 and amp for your set up. He is busy but if you email him he usually gets back in a day or 2.
