I am planning on installing a TRD 3 inch suspension lift kit and change out my wheels and tires to 35s.

Should I do them in phases such as suspension first then the wheels and tires? Or should I save up and do it all at once?

That’s what I am leaning towards.

Save up and do it in one shot. Will make it so you only have to do one alignment and it won't look like your truck skipped leg day (or rub your tires if you did that first).

Trying to have it ready for spring break settings trip to Merus Adventure Park in north Texas. Seems like a lot of fun with the right rig. I do think it’s cheaper to do it all at once. Should I have Toyota install the TRD kit or local shop?

If still under warranty and buying the parts from Toyota, I'd have them do it.
If not under warranty, find a local 4x4 shop. They will have better experience with doing the work and can help with anything else that might come up. Plus will probably be cheaper than the Toyota shop.
Or, again if not under warranty, see if there are local members who can help install it for BBQ and beer.

Whichever way, find an alignment shop that is experienced with lifted 4x4s.

On the conservative side I would go for a phase approach over all at once. This way if you run into a problem you know exactly where to look. Do it all at once and have a problem then it's Ok is it the lift , or maybe the tires are defective, Maybe I have a bad rim. Maybe one of the mods is ok but something wrong with the other two. In this down hill slide something your looking forward to can quickly become a Pain In The A**.

I’m doing mine is phases. I don’t think the truck looks bad lifted on the factory tires, but I definitely don’t think it looks right either. I just couldn’t justify spending the $2K on tires while mine are still brand new. I plan on keeping the factory 20” wheels, I love them.
