Can someone explain these lights to me? Should both of them be off when I’m in four-wheel-drive? I have looked at various post by get confused every time I read them.

i’m trying to determine what is normal in four-wheel-drive and what is not. I believe I cannot turn off limited slip differential when I’ve been non-four-wheel-drive but not sure.

Tundras have a mechanical LSD. It is not a selectable locker like on the Tacoma. I'm not sure about the VSC and Trac lights. Being in 4hi vs 4lo may change the function of these systems. Someone with more knowledge on this can chime in, or search the forums for more info.

    Removed lots of rust.
Mechanical LSD only lock when one rear wheel is spinning at a much different speed then the other rear wheel.

In 4hi only the vsc light should be off if everything is working property.
    Recap:
Green 4hi and orange vsc lights on.
