Volume knob

Anyone been having issues with their volume knob breaking off?

 

My friend has had his broke off twice....In the matter of 3 months

 

Best solution for this I’ve seen here is a bit of shrink wrap around the knob opening in the back. (Or the snazzy AJT aftermarket replacement)

 

Do the knobs break under normal usage or does someone accidentally hit them?

 

Somewhere I read that Toyota has actually acknowledged this issue (at the same time along with the trim around the power seat buttons). I can't remember where I read this, unfortunately. It may have been on this forum or one of the other Tundra forums. I think there was a TSB put out concerning the volume knob assembly. If I can find it again, I will come back and post the link in this thread.
