How many of you rock vintage stereo gear at home? What gear do you have?

I call myself The Occasional Audiophile and the lock down era provided me with the golden opportunity to dig my Marantz receiver out of storage and have it inspected, cleaned and serviced. It is the receiver that my father bought in 1977, and the same receiver my good friend and I used to power our mobile DJ side gig business during the late 70's and early 80's ... it saw it's fair share of abuse. Other than a little cleaning the receiver needed some new capacitors and bulbs, it was otherwise good to go.

When it comes to music I've never embraced streaming, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or similar digital technologies, I favor CDs and I will play a record on the turntable every now and then. My "listening room" is my bedroom, it's on the small side but it works for critical listening at lower volumes. Leave the door open, turn up the volume and the entire building is filled with music.

Here is a picture of my gear.

I listen to CDs played on two identical 1999 Technics SL-PD8 changers that are connected to two identical Schiit MODI+ DACs via toslink cable, I will sometimes spin vinyl on my 1995 Technics SL-1500 direct drive turntable, but not very often. The heart and soul of my Hi-Fi system is the Marantz model 2238B stereo receiver that my father bought new in 1977, and the bookshelf stereo speakers are ADS models L570/2 and L780/2 made in the early 1980's.
