Vibration when accelerating and turning

    Ok carrier bearing was shot
    So I replaced it. Since then and it was doing it alittle before I changed it and seems to be worse since I changed carrier bearing. I checked ujoints seemed fine greased them all. Over greased rear yoke but fixed that. Could I be missing a bad ujoint?
    Sorry people this is my first
    Forum subscription and don't know what I'm doing yet. I'm taking my drive shaft in to have it balanced. I'll try and do better and tell more about my vehicle next time and there will be a next time. I appreciate all the replies and would answer back but don't know how too lol.

    Have you jacked up the front end and turned the wheels and tried to test them for play?

    2000 Tundra AC, SR5, 4.7 V8 4WD, 325,00ish miles.
    CV joints could cause that. Classic symptoms at least.

    Can you tell us a little less about things? :rofl:

    Is it 4WD?

    Have there been any modifications to the suspension, i.e. lift, new shocks, struts, spacers?

    Have you checked the brakes?

    Do you live in the salt belt, i.e. deal with loads of rust?

    Just to make sure but did you get it installed in proper orientation...."The carrier bearing is offset .625" and needs one round hole facing down and not 2 slots"

    If nothing else was changed but adding grease, seems like a possibility right here.

    but, I would think it’s only noticeable if the drive train was out of balance and or got worse by losing bolt/alignment orientation. I’m going with the turns part, that’s not usually high speed

    I did mark the hole drive shaft and put it back together I thought the same it came apart. After alot of thought I remembered the video I watched before I did it said you had to pull ujoint closes to bearing which was wrong. I quickly put it back together not realizing when I was pressing ujoint back in place I flipped shift and never flipped back so it's 180 out. To be safe I'm taking shaft in and getting it balanced after I finish replacing ujoints. Thanks

    It's good
    I need to balance mine I believe, but only for 80MPH+
    The drive shaft may be it, but vibrations and clunks and squeaks are often hard to diagnose...

    Which reminds me, my buddy with a 05 DC spent months trying to isolate a vibration. Finally a mechanic put it on a lift and put it in drive and spun the wheels at speed. It was driveshaft, and it made a shit ton of vibration.
