A little of this and a little of that.
Have you thought about blacking them out yourself with VHT in a rattle can?

I have yes- I just really (really) hate how you sometimes get a 'purpleish' hue when lights are blacked out / tinted.
Is it possible VHT doesnt do that?

I'd still like a confirmation, whether anyone has swapped them out entirely with something they would recommend!

Swapped out mt 15 for a smoked 3rd. While it did suck a bit, it wasn't that bad. I'd do it again if needed.

I did mine with VHT about 2 years ago and no purple hue as of yet

I did the vht look because to pull down the headliner is such a PITA. I don’t have a purple hue. Just have to really layer it on all sides.

Yeah, I just now read the same thing about the headliner. No thanks. Any VHT success photos with or without LED bulbs appreciated!

Had 1 very similar on my 07 DC for several years and no complaints.
Mine had a sliding rear window so access wasn't too terrible. Popped a couple of the headliner tabs loose and squeezed my hand in the gap.
Word of caution: the nuts are small and a b1tch to fish out if you drop 1.
