I cannot for the life of me get this Veepeak to connect to my truck via my iPhone 12 Pro. Any ideas? I’ve read all the topics, watched the videos and still can’t get it to work. 2016 Tundra Crewmax TSS 5.7.

Hm, that’s odd. I just bought the BLE+ adapter. I had no idea what I was doing. Just followed the “not connecting it to Bluetooth on the phone via Bluetooth settings” and connected it with the app and it worked fine. At the sake of sounding stupid…maybe try uninstalling what looks to be OBD fusion, reinstalling it, and then maybe turn your phone off and back on?

Maybe check and see if it’s connected to Bluetooth under IOS settings and if it is click on “forget this device”

Hopefully someone with more experience has more to say on the subject.

Yea I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve powered off the phone e and posted back on. I know you don’t connect through the Bluetooth settings as it is supposed to connect via the app. Veepeak never shows up on my Bluetooth list anyway. I’m just stumped by this. Did I buy the wrong Veepeak version for this app? I’ve tried both OBD Fusion and Car Scanner and neither of them will connect to it.

I believe I have seen people using the BLE instead of the BLE+.

It’s strange that it’s saying that the device was found but not connecting.

If I recall correctly, when I first plugged it in and started my truck up, I looked at the IOS Bluetooth connections and I saw that it showed up, but didn’t connect to it.

Maybe you got a faulty device?

I’m thinking maybe you’re right about the faulty device. I have an email out to veepeak support and one out to OBD Fusion support. In the meantime, I’m having Amazon send me a refund and maybe this time I’ll go with the BLE +. Hopefully Veepeak will refund the money I spent on the additional PID set for the Tundra.

Did you verify the light on the Veepeak is coming on when it is plugged into the vehicle.

It should power up and show a little blue led. It should also be visible in bluetooth settings on your phone or pc. I connect mine to my windows pc or iPhone often.

If it is not discoverable in the bluetooth settings its either not powered or its a bad/faulty device.
