Has anybody had this applied by line-x? Didn't come up with much when doing a search on it.

If I recall I think I read somewhere that Valuegard is a rubberized coating, much like Zeibart. If that is the case STAY AWAY! I bought a Rock Warrior years ago that the previous owner had Zeibarted every year for the first 5. The stuff held moisture under the coating and was rotting out the frame as bad as no coating, if not worse. I highly recommend WoolWax. It is lanolin based, is a little thicker than fluid film, comes in black and only needs reapplied every 2-3 years here in Ohio…according to my installer. When I had my 4Runner done 2 years ago it was $180. Still looks great!

Haven’t personally used it or heard of it. I'm seeing conflicting reports on if valugard is rubberized hybrid or asphalt based. Maybe they make more than one type of product? I wouldn't do any kind of coating that isn’t a hydrophobic with wax or oil.

I've heard good things about woolwax.

I had fluid film applied by a local 4x4 axle building company, the last two years late fall. I try to avoid underbody washes so it doesn’t get sprayed off and touch up any area I work on with more fluid film after I’m done. The person that applied it stated if you avoid washing it off it can last 4-5 years but recommended touch ups every 2. I plan to continue touch ups every year in the fall on my own, but I have a friend with a lift so its easy/quick.
