i am doing a project with my truck and i am looking to list a few parts from the donor truck. i figgure they should have enough value where it makes sence too try and sell them. The donor truck is a 2002 access cab tundra with the (5vz/2wd) with 143k on the clock. i have a rear axle setup, 5 steel wheels an a driveshaft. I think it might have the better caliper setup is that stuff worth anything ? I was thinking the axle is worth about 300. The wheels would be at 100and maybe 125 for the driveshaft. Are these fair prices. i sold the motor for 375 idk if that was too low.

Yeah, the motor was maybe worth more... probably at least half it’s lifespan remaining. That’s the only thing you describe that’d have much resale value imo, unless you happen to find someone local to you with an early 1st gen 2wd that was involved in a serious collision or with serious rust issues to the axle only(?)— in which case... it’d be worth swapping in your used parts if the frame was in good shape. Because it’s 2wd axle I do not a lot see a lot else to prompt a need for a an axle swap.

As for steel wheels, they’re plentiful in many parts of the country— piled up in parts yards here in SoCal. I like the way the OEM steelies that came on my 2002 look— only took them off because I needed different off-set for a suspension upgrade. When I checked prices local to me, 4 for $100 seems about right for a buyer that likes the look. I haven’t seen any sell for more than that near me. I haven’t gotten ‘round to selling mine yet though, so I have no way to guage the level of interest.

As for calipers, it wouldn’t make sense to me to buy (and ship) your used calipers, when I could buy new for not that much; several on here have done that (two versions) upgrade, detailed in the What Have You Done to Your 1st Gen thread.

I’m not sure how helpful my post is. It will bump this thread back to the top of the feed, maybe get you more responses.... Sounds like you want to sell parts, you should go ahead. You’re nearly at the required number of posts to sell here; you could edit the title, add pics of everything off the truck, and tag a moderator to request they move it to the Marketplace. Whatever you decide, you should say where you are... and probably post for sale locally too, because this stuff is heavy and unlikely to attract a buyer from far away.

The 4runner guys use our calipers as an upgrade, so try listing those locally for $50.

You'd be surprised what you can get for other really random pieces like visors, door panels, etc...
