Went to the basement and gathered up all the goodies I've had left over and put them to use today.

I had screwed up a few weeks ago and didn't wipe all the drips/runs from the Lucas Detail Spray. It left streaks down the sides of the Tundra the I could not blast off in the local car wash.

Washed truck using 2 bucket method
    1. 130 degree hot - wash
    2. Rinse bucket
    - Used some type of purple foaming soap/wash with a picture of a smiling family washing their vehicle... Stupid dumb liars. My wife went inside after 20 minutes, even when I said I would 'help' her clean her car.

Thus, I was alone in covering all the real estate on the Tundra. Every time I really clean it, I realize this thing should have it's own zip code compared to my Tacoma.

    Dried

    Used Mother's Clay and Lube
    - I really wanted the clay to look like the YouTube videos, but it was fairly clean
    - Kinda disappointed that my clay didn't look all scummy and gross
    - Sandwich bag confirmed that it was smooth.

Cleaner wax / Mother's (maybe Meguiar's) and used the random orbital to apply

= No more streaks - Lesson learned.

Last picture is of the streaks left over from detail spray. Even after washing by hand.IMG_20190703_175003.jpg IMG_20190703_174950.jpg IMG_20190703_174934.jpg IMG_20190703_174905.jpg IMG_20190703_161435.jpg

Wow that came out really good. I know how tough that color is to get clean and streak free. But I also know it's the best color when its clean

You want to know the truth... It would not have turned out well if I couldn't read and steal the ideas that many members left in the 'detailing' section. Much thanks.

Truck looks great - except that last pic. That's annoying to no end.
    Great job!

Steve Miller is the only artist I used to play on my cassette player during every party. Never got old, even though I have gotten old. "I'm a picker, a grinner, a lover and a sinner............"

I'm currently laid up at the house recovering from an artillery shell that went off above my left eye Wednesday night.

Damn. You going to be able to see out of it? Human error or mechanical? Best wishes and speedy recovery.

Yes I will see again. And both a bit of miscalculation on the disassembly of a cake. And I had my head over the tube like an idiot. Punk hit fuse and it went off instantly....

We had one blow up about two feet off the ground the other night. Damned bootleg fireworks.

Thank you. I can see with both eyes, and back at work today. It could have been worse, a lot worse.

No kidding. I luckily had my back turned when that one blew up on me. I lit it, started walking away, and boom.

    @TokerJoker

If you were a cat that would have taken about 5 out of your 9 lives. Damn man. I don't know what to say. Hope you heal.

Thank you for your kind sentiments and if I was a cat I would have lost more than that! I am healing well and this is the first day of driving back to work, Monday's got to hate them.
