Used bakflip?

Ok so I'm trying to get some stuff for the new truck and to save some dough I'm looking used. Anyways on my taco I have the bakflip f1 that I paid around 900 for. It was good but not great and leaked a bit. III wasfwas going to a different brand this time. But I found another backflip for sale used. The one piece needs to be reglued tho. Anyways they are asking 425 for it. Idk if it's worth that or even worth buying a used one in general.

Seems like a great deal to me. Half price. You already know the issues. That price point puts you in a new extang trifecta, which I have, more or less same issues. It’s great, but not completely water tight.

 

I bet you could all them down more; I paid 250 for an undercover flex used. At any rate, it beats paying $900.

 

Yeah I wanted an undercover flex but I also found a used trd exhaust that I kinda want to put that extra money to

 

I would never buy a used tonneau cover.... after seeing the issues with the ones I’ve had from brand new.... these things don’t last the life of the vehicle but knowing what they’ve been through does help to make sure they work as best as intended from the beginning

I’ve had they bakflips on both my f150s (2013, 2016) both covers were brand new right from the dealership
And I’d say they lasted one year before water became an issue.. two
And a half-3 years before the latches that’s hold the panels down became an issue.. mind you I live in Ontario where the snow is a big factor in compromising these covers...

 

I would do it.
