First thanks to all for sharing info one this site, I have lurked for a bit and learned a lot.

I probably overpaid but couldn't be happier. I plan on holding onto it for another 80k miles, time will tell if it was a good buy. Here are my thoughts.

June 2024 purchase: 2017 TRD Pro CM Barcelona Red "Silver Certified" 121k miles, paid $32.5, sold Honda CRV with 160k mile for $10k (not trade in).

Tundra Rationale: higher miles=lower price and it had all the maintenance done at dealers including some big ticket items a few months prior and one year prior. It was listed on dealer site with no images as it needed to get the front bumper replaced and had some character scratches on it. waited on it and decided to engage with the sales guy more, he sent some videos and I put down a deposit sight unseen (me=michigan, dealer=ohio), grabbed it a few weeks after it listed but dealer never had images listed. Anyways, when I saw it I was shocked how much I liked the looks of it and despite more scratches than I wanted I bought it.

Noticed rust on tailgate after purchased and brought that to dealer attention as I felt it was beyond what should have been "silver" certified, maybe wrong but in any event $500 to paint it and the rust would come back. They agreed to help and I used that money to buy an OEM tailgate for $570. Local dealer to me if you order yourself online through them it is 15-30% less so long as I pick it up. Friend has a body shop and painted, assembled and replace handle on tailgate for free. outside of scratches and a few minor cosmetic items on the inside, good to go.

-Tinted front, rear and back window
    -Krown Rust treatment
-replaced rear bulb and third tailgate light
    -replaced roof molding
    -gator roll-up tailgate cover
    -replaced tailgate
    -Dakine bike pad

    I think that's it.

friend who has FU money said he has driven $500 trucks and $100,000 trucks and said this is a great truck, rides great, looks great etc. Kids (three, 5, 5, 12) and wife (no age or weight disclosed for safety reasons) all love it. Used it for biking, yard work, camping and at-home fire (kids sleep in bed with sleeping bags during meteor shower), off roading at ORV trails. It is like my 4th child, freaking love it, love driving it, love the sound and glad I got a price that fit my needs. Yes lower miles would be great but I am banking on dealer serviced records.

    Wish....
    auto lights
    blind spot on mirrors
    heated seats (maybe)
    gas mileage
    better radio
antenna got ripped of at car wash and WTF. total PITA to fix/replace

    Likes
Barcelona red...was surprised but like it
    gas tank/38 gallon
simple, turn key, drive, go not tons of tech that I likely never use
crew max, if you have a family get the CM, no debate
looks...blacked out is nice and understand the chrome delete folks more, not a deal buster but I like it
TRD Pro, love the lift, love the looks
    ride quality
    engine sound with dual exhaust
    rear window rolls down
in no way does it look like a 2017 with 120k on it, looks great

Anyone on the fence, glad I did it and this is a great forum for info.
