I have an obnoxiously recalcitrant passenger side upstream connector that won't release from the oxygen sensor. This is the 3rd or 4th attempt at removal over the last year.

The access on the 04 AC is limited but each year is somewhat different in engine bay configuration. This model year is a tough one.

Each time the connector has been sprayed with WD40. Both myself and a friend tried yesterday evening still no luck from below. I've got Lisle straight disconnect and 60° pliers and a set of Mishimoto Tekko pliers to no avail.

Jim the Car guy cuts and pulls the from the top at 08:42 in this video to access the two connectors and release. Has anyone tried this on any of the model years, especially the O4 with similar features as mine from the vehicle description tag line.

Here are a couple of shots from the top. My concern is that there is not enough wire length on my model year to access and release the conector from the top back of engine. The prob with the pics is they make it seem like there is a whole lot of room, when there is not, nor do they show what you have to snake around to get from point A to Point B.

If I cut it and the length from the harness branch to the female connector is not long enough to push the tab and disengage from the topside, then I'm in deep shit.

Let's hear it fellas. Someone must have tried this before.

Problem Solved: On 2003 & 2004 Tundras similarly outfitted, the solution to a stuck RH O2 sensor connector on the passenger side is to cut the male wiring off the sensor proper and pull the remainder up to the top for better access. Special thanks to Mike M. - BFL.
