I upsized my tires to 295/70r18 and looking to do so with my spare. Has anyone done this and had it fit under the truck where is usually is stored? Seems a bit tight but 'might' fit. I haven't yet pulled the trigger on swapping it yet and thought I would run it by the forum.

Will fit. Maybe not with oversized shackles. May have to hammer back or cut the guide tabs. May need a hand directing into place. I have 285/75/r18 back there with some hammered tabs. 285/75 is slightly larger diameter than 295/70.

I had this and it fit with no modifications. SCS Ray 10s with cooper discoverer ATX I believe.

Just did this last week. I cut off the guide tabs. It fits with enough clearance for the duel exhaust. I could not make it fit well enough with the tabs in place.

Bend or cut the guide tabs. Then a 35” tire fits

I think that’s a negative since those shackles are super beefy but I’m not 100

Thats what I have concluded from searching as well. Might take one of my worn out toyo M/T's and give it a shot once I get new tires. Hopefully from the worn tread I might be able to squeeze it in, but like you guys say most likely not. Maybe get rid of the coachbuilders and go with a different less beefy brand

I had a 295/70/18 mounted under the truck w/o bending the guide tabs. I do have the toytec shackles.
I just pulled the spare since I have a 37" in the bed now.

I feel like I remember seeing a post about this. The person fit a larger spare with the CB +3s. They switched the direction of the shackle bolts.
I will be trying this once my truck arrives.

Thanks man, good info and makes sense if you were to put the bolt head towards the inside instead of the nut.
