    Hello all,

Recently installed 6112s (2.5, no shins) in the front and also threw in some Tuff Country upper control arms. Torqued everything to spec, installed bora 1.25 spacers, and removed front sway (trying to paint a clearer picture). After getting an alignment, I noticed there was a gap between the boot and the spindle. Not sure if I noticed it before or maybe the alignment went wrong (specs camber 0, caster 2.2-2.7, total toe 0.10) but wondering how do I go about fixing this. Thanks in advance.

Looks like there is supposed to be a clip that keeps the boot secured. I would check to make sure it still has adequate grease and as clean and install another retainer.

I did not receive a retaining clip with the UCAs. The drivers side ball joint looks good, as the boot is flush with the top of the spindle.

I’m guessing I should pop out the ball joint and try to reinstall with the boot placed in a better position. Would I need to get another alignment by doing so ? Thanks

You should be fine popping it loose and resetting it. The alignment will be in the control arms. Have you tried pulling the boot down? I just I stalled SPC's and had a slight gap. Toytec said it is good to go because SPC's have tapered ball joints. Edit...I just looked...mine all the way down now.

Appreciate the replies. Yes I’ve tried pushing the boot down but it would not budge. I will take the tire off, pop off the ball joint and try reinstalling again. Thanks.
