Upgrading to LED headlights on 14 Platinum - Questions

This may be a dumb question - looking for upgrade to TRD Pro OEM LED headlights from standard halogen with LED DRLs. I was specifically on headlight revolutions page and there were so many options for "optional led parking light bulbs" or "optional resistors for LED turn signal bulbs". Do I need these? If it's plug n play, why are they offered?

Already getting the wiring harness from everyone's guy on this forum. Thanks @iHacker

Those options is available if you want them to swap the incandescent bulb on the outer corner of the headlights to led bulb. The resistor is to prevent hyper flashing when swapping the turning bulb to led.. so, if you plan on changing the signal bulb from incandescent to led, you may need the resistors.. if not, you dont need it..

 

Yes as @BrandonL812 said those options are extra, the headlight assembly comes with all the bulb included but the side markers and turn signals are incandescent bulbs. Is optional if you want to swap those incandescent bulbs with LEDs and HR site show you their “best options”


For the side markers only need to buy the 194 Amber LED bulbs and no resistors needed I recommend you the Sylvania branded from Walmart or Amazon this are pretty good and from a reputable brand.

For the turn signals if you are looking for a plug and play resistor free LED bulb I recommend you the Morimoto XB LED bulbs
