I've had a 2008 for the last 18 years. I loved that truck, but I wanted newer tech. I haven't had a new car since my truck, wife has gotten all the newer toys. I was happy that I could get her newer cars, but now it was my turn.

The '08 had its issues, and I while it was still a good truck, I knew it would need TLC coming up, I could just 'feel' it in the truck. Speakers blown, weird studder vibration at certain RPM & Weight (had to throttle through it to break out of the studder), rusting, and suspension was getting rough.

I drove the Tundra, Ford F150, GMC, Chevy... and it came down to this Tundra or a Ford F150 King Ranch PowerBoost. The ride on the Tundra was better, the running boards are better (my Ma has bad arthritis, and she couldn't step down off the Ford), the way the hybrid engages was smoother on Tundra (the Ford was jarring when it disengaged). Did I want the extra power options on the PowerBoost in the tailgate (basically converting the truck to a generator) yeah I did... but not enough over the cons. Oh and the $50/mo BlueCruise, no thanks.

Oh yeah and the 2.99 financing right now from Toyota vs Ford with... nothing made it a no brainer. $6k in interest vs $16K between 2.99 and 7.99 @ 72.

So, enter our new 2025 1794 Lunar Rock iForceMax 4WD. Heads Up Display, Power Running Boards and Power Tailgate with Power Step and Towing Mirrors. I'm absolutely loving this new truck. I know I traded in reliability with that 5.7L engine, for this unknown V6 TT Hybrid, but we loaded it up with extended warranty and we're going to cross our fingers we're lucky. The things on the 1794 trim are awesome like heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front/rear seats, massaging front seats, all the cameras, pan-o roof, etc., etc., etc.

I didn't realize the more aggressive lane keep (almost a version of autopilot on highway) that these Tundra's had, not one salesperson even showed it or mentioned that the settings could be increased to be more aggressive and pretty much help/drive on the highway.

I'm getting a X4TS rolling tonneau and ceramic tint installed tomorrow. Also getting a Carista so I can customize and review things.

I'm looking to get a MagicBox 3.0, but I'm trying to confirm with the company that it'll work with the already factory wireless AA (I'm not sure USB works for AA on the 25's?). We have Taco-Bell Mexican Pizza car picnics, and we want to use that screen to watch some YouTube TV or Netflix while parked.

This thing doesn't feel real yet, like this isn't my truck.

Welcome to the club, Ken. When you finally got your new truck you sure made up for lost time.
You're off to a great start since a lot of us old grouches always complain about lack of pictures.
    Welcome from Ohio!

You made a great choice with that color and package. That is an absolute beauty. You will love it more and more each day. Looks like you take care of your stuff too. How many miles did you put on the 08? Enjoy!!!

I only had 140k on the '08. I have been able to work from home for the last 6 years, so that helped keep the miles low. But it sat out in the driveway all 18yrs couldn't ever garage it.
