Might be swapping out the oem since I feel it’s on its last leg. Any upgraded beefier units out there for our rigs. I thought I saw a few.

here is OEM performance curve. Note the RPM scaling in the box on the right side. You’re basically getting 120amp at idle and get to 160-180amps really quick. This is with the Denso 150amp OEM.

    Too many, but not enough....
It seems a shorter belt would be required for those HD options. I wonder if there is another toyota belt that can be used, or if the stock pulley could be swapped over.

I think it’d be within the tolerance of the tensioner but I do see their disclaimer - @snivilous - do you know if S/C folks need to change belts when using the party pulley?

Since he's already supercharged there's only one belt that's smaller (assuming he isn't using that one). I would go with the smaller supercharger belt if any of the pulleys are smaller than stock.

Check out bnrparts on eBay to see if they make one fir this gen. They sell high output units at reasonable prices. Going on six years with my 200-amp alt in my Taco. Also got one for daughter’s Corolla. You do need to upgrade the alt power wire, to at least 2awg.

Ask Cruzer, he put a 300 amp (I think) in his truck.

I would go OEM. Other than the bearings wearing out fast, they are decent.
