Seller has all suspension from 03 tundra in garage since purchase of vehicle. Wants $50. Wise addition to an 02 tundra with 164k?

So he’s got basically unused original suspension?

If you’re budget is really tight I would say go for it.

If you’re willing to spend a little more I would just go aftermarket and improve your ride.

    edit: also, welcome!!

16 yr old shocks? Is he giving you $50 to take it away? Rubber seals don't last forever, I wouldn't buy it.

Good point. Although for 50 bucks if it includes the leaf springs and a arms it might be worth it. He could upgrade the a arms bushings and leaf eyelet to polyurethane before he even takes his truck apart so it would just be a quick direct swap. Just thinking outside the box LOL

Agreed. Leaf pack alone is probably worth it. Thing with 16 yr old shocks, either you pay or install yourself and 2 weeks later the seals fail and you're doing/paying twice.

    Depends on a few things:
What are the parts? Used original? How much mileage? Aftermarket? Gotta know more to answer.

If it's used parts with low miles could be a good pickup. The post about "for a little more" is a little misleading. A pair of OEM ball joints alone is over $200 new. Arms bushings and all else you'll hit a thousand in no time, I know because I just did this in December.

I would use the springs but not the shocks.
