I went to go pick my son up from school . I was driving back from my son's school with a/c going and the the temp started climbing and I floored it and nothing turn defrost on to try and cool down . It stayed at 3/4 it would go down alittle but soon as I started driving it stayed at up . I stopped at a friend's shop and we looked at it and found upper rad hose was hot and the lower was cold and I'm possibly looking at a sticking thermostat so next step is to get OEM thermostat and replace and go from there .

You may need to look at the radiator cap 1st. if its got a chunk missing then odds are it made its way to the thermostat. I would suggest a search and you may find your answer. I'm at 270k with OEM.. thermostat

I've been threw that in previous post the radiator and 2 caps have been replaced . I think the crap thermostat is sticking it's 140 behind the thermostat and 80on the lower hose . There's no circulation.

Have you tried bleeding/burping the system? Maybe there is air in the system. I haven't seen your previous posts, and this post is sorta ambiguous. Has anyone else replaced the thermostat? Have you purchased this new? or used? Replacing caps just to replace them doesn't seem smart, unless the caps themselves are actually failing. Sometimes its better to buy OEM and cry once.
