    Hello all,
I am looking into purchasing a used 2011 tundra and joining this family. I found one for a price I like and test drive it. Everything seemed fine on the truck except there was a chime every few minutes while driving. It coincided with flashing of 2 orange dots up by the clock display. I was wondering if this group would be able to tell me what the chimes were trying to tell me. Thank you in advance.

That diaplay and associated chime are for the front sonar parking aid.

We're you close to other objects when the chime interrupted you?

There is a button to disable the parking chime

That's the indicator for the parking sensors. They may be obstructed or faulty. Ask to have them sorted as part of the purchase deal.

Wynnded - you're absolutely correct, I will ask them to take care of it as the conditional of the purchase. It does put me at ease knowing it's a simple issue, hopefully.

COTundie - that's a load off my mind and feel embarrassed that it is something so simple. I just looked it up and realized I missed the "sonar" button all together.

This truck has some mods and i wonder if they were done at home and not professional. Looking at where the sensor locations are placed, I wonder if there is a fault or if because of the aftermarket front bumper is the cause. I will be taking a closer look at that section for sure, but not a deal breaker now.

    Thank you for the info.

Probably the front bumper, the sleeves to the sensors are fragile and can be broken, odds are they're broken and swing inward causing the sensors to alert of something near. I agree with stealership to fix them before you take it home, don't assume anything.
