Uneven Tire wear/pull left

    I think this has been covered plenty before, but I had a huge pull to the left on the highway, so I got a set of tires to replace my General Grabbers, and got it aligned. It still pulled to the left, so I called Toyota, and they spent three hours trying to dial it in perfectly (again), and they showed me the alignment sheet and everything was pretty much as dead center as possible. I rotate my tires every oil change, so around every 7.5k, so I know it isn't a bad tire, since the same tire doesn't stay on the driver's side. This is after less than 7.5k miles, I've actually only driven less than 5.5k since my last oil change and this is my tire wear.

    The other tire is the other three, this specifically on the driver rear.

    I am constantly holding my wheel off center to keep it center, and if I let go I'll end up in the center median.

    Toyota keeps telling me "crown in the road it's meant to pull" but my 80 series Land Cruiser doesn't pull at all. And yes, the Tundra pulls to the left whether the 4Hi is on or in 2Hi.

    I'm planning a trip to Colorado in July and I'd love to be able to get to the bottom of this before then, I already need to replace one tire, I don't want to have to drag along a spare in lieu of my actual spare for our trip.

    Toyota didn't even speculate about any other suspension components being in need of replacement, I have 210k, and everything looks good, so I assume everything is good.

    Have you had the truck since new ? When did it start pulling to the left ?

    I would get new shocks if you have 210k on yours. Also find an experienced alignment shop, the Toyota specs leave a lot to be desired. An experienced tech will do better

    clearly, for your truck, "pretty much as dead center as possible" is not good enough. the dealer will always get it "in spec", but you need a shop that will align it for the issues that you are experiencing. take it to an independent shop or off-road shop. it may cost more for an alignment, but they will take the time to align it properly.

    i had the same experience with the dealer... my steering wheel was off center (3 degrees to the left) and it was pulling to the right. toyota aligned it to spec, but it still had the same issue. so, i went to a local off road shop and they aligned it right.

    Yes definitely replace the shocks to start with. I just pulled a spacer lift out of mine and switched to coilovers. When I pulled it apart, my rear shocks were shot...and that is with 94,000 miles. It appears that your alignment is definitely off unless you have a worn component in the suspension somewhere.

    I am the third owner, and it has always pulled a little to the left, but it's never worn the tread like this.

    Can do, I'll do the shocks like a few people have said first and then get it aligned

    Thanks, I know of a few places, I'll give them a call.

    I thought they stapled it to my invoice, but I have found that invoice and I have looked through all of my paperwork and it is nowhere to be found.

    My struts are showing some age to them, that was going to be my next todo after my brakes, but I'll do them during my brakes since I'll have everything apart anyway
