My truck is a 2018 Tundra Platinum Crewmax 4WD. I believe I have all of the components necessary for the alarm system and would like to activate it in Techstream.

Note: The alarm system was not listed as an installed option on my window sticker.

I have the GBS (glass breakage sensor), the alarm relay and (I believe) a wired hood latch. See this picture: https://imgur.com/gallery/GjVU5Bf . From searching on this forum, I think that this is all that is needed for the alarm system to work (except for Techstream activation)?

I am using Techstream version 16.00.017 (if that matters). I am able to change various settings (e.g. driver seatbelt reminder = OFF!).

I attempted to follow the instructions here: http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/08586-0C890inst.pdf. However, I am not presented with a "Options Setup" in the table shown in Figure 6-5. Thus I am unable to get to the page on Figure 6-6 to enable the security system.

Does anyone have any ideas that could help me?

    Thanks!

    UPDATE!

I decided to actually test whether the alarm system would work. I sat inside the truck, locked the truck with the key fob and waited until the padlock symbol in the dash went from solid red to flashing (about 30 seconds). I then manually opened the door from inside the cab and the alarm went off! I turned it off via the key fob unlock button. I didn't accomplish it via Techstream, but it works after all. I also found a different PDF that is updated for model year 2018s but its Techstream portion was exactly the same as the Model Year 2007's version. (It just differed in the hood switch instructions.) Maybe my alarm was working all along and I just didn't wait long enough for the padlock to go from solid red to blinking? Still, I wish I could see it in Techstream just so I had the option to enable/disable it.

Question: can you adjust alarm settings in techstream? I have a factory alarm on my 2018 tundra limited trd but the alarm doesn’t go off if someone pulls on the locked handle from outside. Hoping I can adjust so it does go off if someone tries to get in like they did last night.
