Looking for a scan tool that reads transmission temp. Wondering if anyone has tried the ultra gauge mx? Sounds like it reads trans temp on some vehicles but not all. Thanks!!

Well...I have one in my Tacoma also. If you want / need to know accurate coolant, trans temps, charging voltage, fuel levels (after calibrating) etc.... the Ultragauge is one of many different products that will work. Scan gauge and various blue tooth apps provide similar data. I "tow" with both trucks and watching trans temps helps me with managing torque convertor lock-up. FWIW

I don't have the mx, but my original ultragauge has been running year round since 2009 with no issues. It's been worth the $59
