Just got my mini projectors and new housings. I like them but now I now have no hi beam dash indicator and no fogs. Putting on the fog lights puts the headlights in hi beam. 2003 access cab, no DRL. What do I need...thx

Sounds like you need to add a resistor. Pretty such the go-to is to add it to the passenger side headlight.

Why does it work for some trucks and not others...

Not all trucks are wired the same. The later-model years apparently don't require resistors.

Anything you do to change resistance on the line in the earlier trucks will cause problems.

Awesome...thanks. Seems alot of the reviews are guys who have 2000-2006 tundras. Side doesn't matter? Where in the line does it go? I would imagine it goes first in line from the truck harness. Thanks again...

    just ordered.

Goes between the truck wire harness and the LED bulb. I installed mine on the passenger side, no issues.

Plugged mine into the head light. So one side plugs into the trucks wire harness and then the other side plugs into the LED head light.

Let us know if it works out.

OP, post a wall shot of those mini projectors for us when you get a chance. Did you bake the lights apart to take out the bulb shield or were you able to mangle it and pull it out thru the bulb mounting hole?

Will do...how high exactly (appx) should they be? I bought new housings and used needle nose to wrangle the cups out. Pretty easy, just go slow and easy. My OEM housings were cloudy and no matter what I did, they weren't where I wanted them. Brand is Eagle Eyes. Got them at 1a auto. Good company.

So, the projectors I got already have a mini-box attached. That doesn't quite do it huh?..lol

Don't confuse the LED driver (pictured) with a resistor. They're not the same thing, I don't recall any cheapo LED headlights ever coming with a resistor integrated into the driver. That'd be a cool add-on, but could cause probs with other stuff. Meanwhile, note the questions section on scAmazon where someone is asking about an '04 Tundra, and someone complains high beams don't work or cast right, here's a video, but it looks like it's a Passat they're demonstrating it on.

Thanks Shifty....you've been a real help with all my questions. I assumed that box was a resistor...not a driver. I'm not very up to date on lighting requirements.
