I ordered some cheap antenna range extenders to see if they make any difference. I have ton of trees around so I’m losing signal at around a mile out from my house. Line of sight is pretty minimal in my area.

Not super scenic, but this was my first pic with the drone.

I need to get 2 microSD cards for mine. Its strange having 1 for the drone and 1 for the controller.

I’ve just got one in the drone (512gb). I’ve been downloading images straight from the drone to my iPad through the app.

What are you using for a charger? A local drone supplier recommended something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charge...d=1696959229&sprefix=anker+100,aps,135&sr=8-2

He said the fastest charging is with a 100 watt charger. DJI offers a 65 watt and a 100 watt, but he said you don't need a DJI charger since there are cheaper options. My issue is that I have a Samsung, so my block is no where near strong enough.

With three batteries I haven’t had a need to charge any quickly. It’s usually left charging overnight so I don’t even know how long it takes.

Have you messed with the “Mastershots” mode any? Seems cool. I was experimenting with it the other day but it seems like you have to be in a pretty open space. Any time it would get near a tree or something it would just stop.

No I haven't messed with it yet. I did fly the other night and took a video of a guy burning stuff in his back yard. I need to figure out how to get it off of the drone since I haven't purchased a large microSD card yet. There are some on sale for prime day. I'll post it on YT and link it...it looks like it will be really clear. I need to get the night time strobe mounts once i start flying more at night.

Didn’t get the drone up as much as I thought I would this past weekend. Happy Jack, AZ.

I’ve avoided flying at night since it loses collision avoidance. I already learned the hard way that gets deactivated in sport mode.

You guys with your newfangled Mavic Pros, how do they compare to the original Mavic Pro. Ruling out battery and flight speed, how much more impressive are the lenses? I assume sw is mostly the same with some extra shot features added on.

The reason I ask is because I'm running the original Mavic Pro but am currently working on a project of getting a 360 FPV set up to accommodate it. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth keeping the original MP or if there's enough there to warrant an upgrade.

I don’t think anyone on here has a new Mavic 3 Pro but I’m trying to justify the expense of one. 7x optical zoom is a game changer.

Depending on the features that you would use, look at the Air 3. There is a video that compares the two.

I think I've got the wife convinced that an Air 3 is the way to go for a Christmas gift for me and the boy... not sure I can justify the Mavic 3 Pro, but I'm open to suggestions.

I have the original Mavic Pro. I just bought the Air 3. That thing is impressive. DJI has come a long way in features and advancements since the original Pro came out. I was looking at the 3 Pro, but its very expensive and I wouldn't use most of its capabilities. After watching videos on the comparison between the 3 Pro and the Air 3, I went with the Air 3.

I just posted on this. The Air 3 is the way to go. Myself and @War Machine both bought ours about the same time. If you can, purchase it early. Best Buy is often out of it. DroneNerds.com also carries them. Here is the case that we both have....in post #115.

My bad, I misread when scrolling and reading through and confused the Air 3 to the 3 Pro. I do have some photos I wanted to add but then got caught up on everyone enjoying their new toys and got me curious. Then, I read about the new FAA guidelines. Does make me hesitant to want to get back into it when all I remember you had to do was register for $5 or $10. I probably won't even take out the drone unless it's in the remoteness of wilderness at this point.

I might come back to it if I get frustrated with the FPV.
