I would read and research from the actual laws IE>> read the statue, read the ordinances, etc... It's the only way to get accurate and factual info.

This is very similar to guns/weapon laws, in that you can search for something like... 'is carrying a concealed pistol legal in AZ', and while you'll get numerous websites that quote part of the laws addressing the question and some of which will draw a conclusion for you; you're not getting the information from the source and basing your decision on the entire picture

 

I think you nailed it. I may have accidentally violated a couple of items on the prohibited list and no one has knocked down my door yet.

 

Right now, I'm only flying in my backyard, I'm a scared noob that does not want to lose the drone. B4UFLY says no advisories so I hope I'm ok.

AirSense is ADS-B, an awesome feature IMHO. Great situational awareness. A piloted aircraft will live track on your map.

 

Indeed. My wife and daughter's love the ocean. We plan at least one trip 'ocean-related' each year. I don't do the beach... so I will tough it out for a while, then go explore or fly.

 

Looking at getting into this, and leaning towards the DJI Air 3. Would you guys recommend that one?

 

I just bought the Air 3 on Saturday. There are yt videos that compare it to the Mavic 3 Pro. The Air 3 is an excellent drone at half the price of the Pro. The Air 3 does not come with a charging unit, just the USB C cable which charges very slow. I am looking into that issue and what others are using. DJI does have a 65w and 100w supply, but I'm going to get on the forum and see what others are using. I'll keep you posted.

That's the kit that I have, and it has 3 batteries. It has the charging hub and USB cable, but no power supply. This charger is one of the ones that I was referring to.

The DJI stuff itself is the same price everywhere.

 

I promise you if you call either of these stores they are willing to make a deal. They have used departments and Adorama has a rental department that sells off stuff.

Even if that was the case, DJI sells professional drones. Why would anyone buy something in their lineup from a consumer store?

Buy it from a place that can support you along the way.

I don’t mean to sound preachy if it reads that way. I get so much good advice from this site I just want to give some back.

Yes, he is a WGSD, he is 2 & a stinker. We had another that died at 16 a year ago February, mourned her & got him in April, last year.

Got the DJI Air 3 yesterday afternoon and played around with it a bit. It’s really cool.

 

Nice. You must have a descent power supply box for charging. My cellphone adapter is too slow.

I have that as well. The charging brick is what i was referring to. Mine is not strong enough.

I charged the batteries (it came with 3) for about an hour. I didn’t get a full charge, probably 75% but I wanted to check it out before it got dark.

 

I like that one. Better than the one it came with for sure.

 

I got an SD card for the drone. There are 30 feet between the garage and living room. It disappeared I looked for 30 minutes and as it could be nowhere it occurred to me I have an asshole dog and looked outside.



I am in a HOA gated community (HATE IT) no overnight parking, house with the red truck has SEVEN vehicles in the street permanently, (3 are out & about somewhere) HOA does nothing.

Would not be that big of a deal if they were not a freaking hazard blocking the corner I need to traverse to get the f00k out of here. GRRRRRR

 

I just ordered it. It will be here Sunday.

 

I took a slew of pictures yesterday & just went through them, found I have a broken tile on my roof, oh joy!
