Does anyone know how the stock leafs ride compared to 748’s?

They would be paired with 2.5 ADS piggybacks.

Just wondering if the extra wheel travel would be worth it for a mostly street driven truck.

How much rear wheel travel do our trucks have stock? I currently have stock leafs with MCM shackles.

Off road how much am I giving up?

    thanks

Stock = roughly 10" of travel according to Matt (MCM). Matt did the RnD for ADS bypass rears and they're intended to pair up with Deaver U748 or a similar 2" thick pack. So I don't know if you're talking about the spec'd bypass rears or some smooth body ADS. If you try to run the longer shock on stock leafs you may send the shaft through the body. Best to give Matt a call, he can explain it much better than I can. Oh, with that U748 and spec'd shock I think you end up with 12-13" of travel and it's worth it. I used to run that setup.

Thanks for the info. I just installed 2.5 ADS coilovers and MCM UCA’s from Matt. I love them so far. Still waiting on the rears to be built. The shop that did the shackle install screwed up and put the lower bushings in the upper bushing spot. Debating on if I should just cut my losses with this shop. Truck has 162k on it. With the time I will spend fighting the stock rubber bushings I could probably just replace the whole pack easier.

Just trying to determine if the juice is worth the squeeze.

The other option is to just run the 2.5 piggybacks with the MCM shackles and keep the stock rubber lower bushings.

If I did that I may be giving up some ride quality according to many on this forum.

I would get the 748 spec’d shocks. Currently have the standard shock on order.

That extra couple of inches is really helpful when you start lifting a wheel offroad. Also, bypass rears are enormously better than smooth bodies. I was amazed by how much better the ride was with 'em. You do want the rear to be able to keep up with the front. IMO you're really close physically and monetarily to having a really legit setup. If it's not a financial hardship, do the bypasses and U748, you won't regret it.

I just hope it helps ya save money in the long run. I can't tell you how many iterations I went through to end up right where you're already going. That setup lasted almost a yr before going LT.
