Figured Id post here and see if anyone could offer up any advice as the silverado forum is kind of dead. I have an 06 1500 I use to work out of. A couple of weeks back I noticed my driver turning signal was not engaging on my trailer. I was extremely busy and have been short employees so I let it ride. By the time I got to it I noticed that it stopped working on my truck also and the turning signal light was staying lit like a bulb was out. Right turning signal works fine, left turning signal engages flashers. checked bulbs, all good. check fuses, both trailer and truck turning signal fuses were blown. Changed, no affect. Replaced the hazard relay/switch, no change. So a few moments ago I decided to take all the lights out and get a better look and I noticed theyre not firing like they should I took a picture, but on the drivers side with drivers turning signal engaged bulbs 3 and 4 fire while on passenger side bulbs 1 and 4 fire. Im at a loss.

Have you tried swapping back in regular bulbs? Might have something to with the LEDs.

i just got done cleaning the ground and checking all the wiring underneath to no avail. The leds have been on for a couple of years, but I guess I just need to try that because Im running out of ideas.

went out and noticed when I turned on the hazards everything worked fine. Possibly a problem with the switch on column?

Check the contacts on the steering wheel stalk, those usually go bad.

I was messing around with it and I didnt think about it, but Ive always ran the lights on Auto. So I turned the headlights on manually to make sure nothing was out and I noticed I couldnt even engage the turning signals at all. I turned the hazards on and nothing from them either. About that time someone stopped in to talk to me and while I was complaining about the situation with the truck the hazards suddenly come on. I turned them off and then everything worked as it should. Im baffled to say the least. I dont feel like this problem is solved, but as of this moment its working. Id still like to try to remedy it completely. Maybe in the Light switch on the dash? that was the only thing I did differently.

With GMs if you have tilt they tend to wear or break wires in the column. Replace the turn. Signal switch.
