Looking to add fog lights to my 2018 SR. Was shopping for a turn signal switch and came across a used one at an affordable price. Now I don't know what exactly I'm looking for or is compatible with my vehicle. Couple questions:

    1) The switch comes with power tilt controls. Does anyone know if all Tundra models are equip with this feature?

    2) If not, can I just remove the power tilt module from the signal switch assembly?

    3) Does the pictured switch look like the correct one for a 2018 Tundra? Seems different than other switches I'm seeing for sale

    Thanks

That’s a lot of work just for fog lights.

Just use a wire harness with a trigger switch coming from a 12v accessory and install your own switch.

I have an intermittent wiper switch I was going to install at the same time so figure'd I'd knock them both out while the steering wheel column was removed. Also didn't know how difficult it would be to run cables to the cab interior from the outside and install a switch.

The switch won’t do anything because the control is in the motor. You will need to change the motor too to gain the function.

Ah ok. Just wasn't sure if that was prewired just like everything else is in the base models. I was just going to get this specific switch since it's the cheapest one I've found that doesn't look like garbage. Also do you happen to know the fuse # needed for the switch? If not I'll look around the internet.

And, while you're in there...I'm not sure about the SR, but there is an auto headlight mod I did on my SR5. All you need is the switch stalk, which you're buying anyway, and to buy the sensor and wire it into the dash. I think it's doable on the SR, but you have to add wires for the sensor where the wiring harness provides for the sensor in an SR5. I note that switch you have also has the auto lights position, but I agree with @NewImprovedRon, get another switch.

IIRC, the auto headlight switch (with fog position) is only about $105 new. The auto headlights sensor was about $115, but unbranded or used are cheaper on ebay.

Not being a pain, but is that true in these trucks. I had a base model Tacoma in 96 and put an intermittent wiper switch from a 94 Camry and it controlled it.

I may be wrong. But for some reason this popped in my head from reading it somewhere. The person may have had other problems though haha.

20+ years of technology. Never know, what might have worked then won’t work now.

I mean the wiper stalk didn’t look anything like what was posted in the OP photos either.

Actually, I believe the wiper motor is the same part number across all trim levels, but the black box that controls the wipers, that would be worth checking. Usually, such info is discovered by adventurers.
