Just spent an hour or so after finding a birds nest with eggs inside my grill in front of the turbo coolers. It’s a perfect nesting area and hard to get to to get clean. Even if you don’t have a nest there I’d definitely check in there with a flashlight. Seems like leaves and debris can accumulate, get wet, and maybe cause issues down the road. Nowhere for debris to fall out. My truck sits for most of the week in the same spot and only driven weekends. Near bushes in the driveway. Hope this helps someone else. I’d be in the market for a simple plastic cover to block the grill while sitting for periods of time. Picture for reference but couldn’t get camera in there to show. Very difficult to get to, hands don’t fit and need an angled vacuum attachment to fit in the grill hole.

Same thing happened to me. Found a nest with a dead bird. I haven't cleaned it out yet. No idea how to approach this challenge. Waiting for a less busy day to try and get the debris out with tongs, chops sticks, or something.
