So I don’t think would work in the snow but this is mine. My tundra sees maybe 4000 miles a year max cause of this bad boy

My truck is not paid off. I've only had it a bit over a year. As far as deep snow... I got rid of the WRX when it was surrounded by 3-5 foot drifts for almost 6 months. It's the wind that does it. We'll get a foot of snow and the wind will just build walls around everything.

Had a bike for a while. Learned that I don't really like going faster than about 55 without a roof and a seat belt. Didn't stop me from driving it for a couple summers. The crap roads and the mile + of potholed gravel and dirt that I live on made me realize it just wasn't for me. I might license my Quadzilla though. I'm sure it gets better MPG than the Tundra. :D

Something like a Rav4 might be your best bet for a balance of snow ability and fuel economy but I doubt it would save you money to run one in addition to the Tundra.

    How much does quadzilla weigh?

Quadzilla is 13XX pounds and the trailer is a bit more. All told it's about 3000-3300 pounds that I tow, but I was eyeing a small toyhauler so I could camp and ride. May just not be feasible.

Yeah, that seems to be the norm for lifted and larger tired Tundras. I did put on a little bigger tire, but I've not done any kind of lift, so I still do ok. At least by Tundra standards.

Unless you drive a crap-ton of miles per year, I’ve never seen a business case that pencils out for a commuter car. Even with our crappy mileage, $2k per year is only $166/mo. If your monthly budget cannot afford an additional $166/mo then you shouldn’t have a truck in the first place and deeper cuts are needed.

I know that’s not what you are saying, but it puts some perspective on things. I hate $100 fill ups as much as the next person. But if you are spending a few hundred bucks just so the gas pump gives you a $30 bill, then you still lose.

That's kind of where I think/hope I wound up through my thought process. I just had to type it all out and look at it. Realistically, I could trim fat elsewhere and keep the Tundra. I think I'd sell the Quadzilla and the trailer before the truck went anywhere. They are far easier to replace.

You might be able to tow your current rig with a 4Runner but, like you say, the fuel economy wouldn't be any better and I wouldn't tow a toy hauler/ travel trailer with anything other than a full size. Similar story with a Ridgeline plus I know most people don't like them.

Yeah, the MPG in a 4Runner is negligibly better.

Yes. I could commute in it, but not in the winter. Still, that'd be 3-5 months of better fuel economy. Then again, selling the Quadzilla would eliminate a payment, and that would do more than anything else proposed so far. Last resort I think.

Oh, I just meant cut down on the long trips towing the quad and trailer (at ~10 mpg). I would still daily the Tundra.

Ah, I see what you meant. Yes, I could do that to an extent. Can't really haul extra fuel on the RS1 so I'd have 9 gallons for fun and travel back and forth. Really only one place close by to run it, but that would work. Hauling the RS1 is primarily when I am meeting up with other people in other places to go ride. My buddy that I ride with the most lives 300 miles away, so it's not a short trip for either of us.

Only have to finish today and tomorrow, and then I'm on vacation. It's been a long time and I am looking forward to not worrying about anything for a while.

I'm flying down to visit some family. My social skills are crap because I don't drink or smoke weed, and those are the only social activities in the middle of nowhere. Couple that with a anxiety about meeting with people, and you have my general mind set. I didn't even attend my own family reunion, and it was held at my house. I left and went out of state.

TLDR: I'm socially awkward and prefer to hermit.

And my sister would be hurt if I didn't spend the time with her.

Bro drinking and smoking weed are not social skills. Maybe that thought process is what has you thinking the way you do. I’m friends with all kinds of people that live in the “middle of nowhere” and they don’t drink or smoke.

I guess calling them social skills isn't correct, but the only social gatherings around here always involve one or both. I avoid both as much as possible, so I'm just out of practice at the in person socializing.

I am fully capable of being around other people, conversing, being polite, etc. but it stresses me out. I'm not the type to show that anxiety, so it is bottled up and I wind up not sleeping and feeling stressed after social engagements.

Yes but it kinda of sounds like it would make a improvement on your normal day to day. More so then the truck you drive and tundra are not cheap although very functional.
