I love me some sushi. Unfortunately, so does my family. That mean I need to arrange financing from my bank before we go.

Work week started Wednesday. Went to bed at 9:30, woke up at 1 AM and couldn't sleep. Went to work about 5:40 AM, and I was kinda tired all day. Crazy day, especially for a Wednesday.
Got off at 6 PM and was in bed at 9 PM.
Woke up at 1 AM Thursday, and couldn't sleep. Was at work by 5:40 AM, and another day of chaos. Completely dead by the end of the day.
Off at 6 PM, in bed by 9:30 PM.
Woke up at 2 AM this morning. Thought to myself "this is some bullsh:censored:t." Sighed, and laid there a few minutes thinking that I may as well get up.
Next thing I know I'm waking up wiping drool out of my beard and I don't know what day it is. Fumble around to my phone and burn my retinas with the screen in order to see that it is 5:58 AM. First thought "Cool, I actually got back to sleep." Immediately followed by "OH F:censored:CK!" because my shift starts at 6 AM.

    This week...... :frusty:

It’s been so dark in the mornings this week that I’m hitting snooze a second or third time. But the weekend is almost here so it is all good.

Yup. Almost to the point of going to work and heading home in the dark again. The building I work in has no windows either, so I just never see the sun during work weeks.

You should get one of those sun lamps for work, maybe it’ll trick the mind enough.

I have had jobs like that. Desk buried deep in the colon of a building. Sucks during the winter months when you never see daylight. Here in Seattle it starts to get dark just after 4pm as we approach winter solstice. Even earlier if a storm is passing through.

Not a bad idea, Holden. I see enough of it on my week off, I think. At least I try do spend some time outside. When we aren't covered in blizzards.

My building used to be an equipment building for telecom stuff, so it was never intended to have full time staff. Things change, tech evolved, and now it's been converted to a NOC that is manned 24/7. I cannot complain. I'm paid well, and enjoy my work.

I’m an ex Floridian too so that plays a part in my general dislike for that cold white stuff :D

A Floridian and an Texan?! Not surprised that you dislike the cold. You could always hop on over to Arizona. Phoenix sounds like it'd be right up your alley.:bananadead:

Yes, living cremation. The daily norm of Phoenix. Can't argue with you there.

I've only been to Texas once, and it was San Antonio for Thanksgiving. It was 80+ degrees the whole time. I melted. Don't know that I could live down there.

Lately hotter than we'd like, but 80s is considered hot. We see 90s and we all melt. Triple digits are hell, and still rare.

65-70 is ideal, but I go shorts and a t-shirt as low as 20 degrees as long as the sun is out and there isn't wind.

Decided it would be fun to stay in our tiny trailer for the storm this weekend...

We are battened down and ready...tomorrow will be lots of cards and games...
