Simple solution could be that his number is set to a do not disturb function on your phone so his calls are automatically directed to VM.

This has been happening since we started rooming, like he'll call when he leaves town or call me when he goes to the store and ask if I need anything, when he calls it goes straight to voicemail, that doesn't happen when someone else calls me

Texting and voice are handled by different equipment, so it's not entirely uncommon for one to have issues while the other is working fine.

He's T-Mobile, I'm at&t , he does live in Uvalde, just now he calls puts on speaker, it goes straight to voicemail, Mrs, mom, sis, and few co-workers called me, no issues

Sounds like an intercarrier/roaming issue. Could be as simple as an update one carrier did or a circuit change that is causing it. You should both give your providers a call to report the issue. Give specific times of failed calls if possible, and they can have thier NOC or Translations groups look into it.

I was going to say something similar if it was only happening now while they are working in a certain area. Could very easily be a trunk from T-Mobile into AT&T's network that could be down, especially in a low populated area where there might only be one circuit between networks. Seen it happen with a Verizon trunk into AT&T about a year ago.
AzureNightmare is correct. Have your coworker call his provider and explain the problem. They can do a trace and see where it is failing.
Have your coworker call someone else on the crew that has AT&T. I bet that call covers to voicemail without ringing the phone.

Hi everyone.... I've missed y'all, but been dealing with so much bullshit shit. I need a break from the bullshit and moving and trying to get my girls what they deserve.

BUT....

A few amazing things that have happened though since all the shit got the fan....a really good friend of mine and my exes is raising money for my girls to create college fund for them both, I made a forever friends with my exes girlfriend who loves my girls like no tomorrow, and I have added to my family with my exes motorcycle club who made sure my girls had Christmas from their dad, made beautiful lockets for both of them with pictures of their dad and them in them, and helped me move all my girls and their dads stuff out of his apartment with a moment's notice. So even though something horrible has happened, some amazing beautiful things have happened too.

 

Glad that something positive has come from. People will always surprise you.

 

So good to hear your friends rallying around you and the girls Bree!! We miss you here and on TW but take care of yourself and do what needs to be done!! We got you!!
