I should have just gotten up when I woke up at 3:30. 4 and a half hours of sleep would have been better than waking up this groggy.

We did our inspection at the new house yesterday. Everything looks pretty good, with a few items needing followup sooner than later but nothing being a show stopper. My kid got to meet the neighbors' pony, though, which he thought was the best thing ever.

I've been sleeping like sh*t lately, so I hear you on this. Any more stress than usual or just general restlessness?

Nothing specific other than world events. I've got a change at work coming up this month but we've known about it since September. How about for you?

Similar stuff for me. I'm really hoping my kid's generation doesn't have to live through a crazy conflict, but I guess we all have that main, defining world conflict to go through. I'm switching jobs starting next week and we've been engrossed in all things related to buying and selling homes. So take your pick on stressors there, lol.

My kids have been talking about the conflict in school and then coming home with questions. They just don’t understand the foundational “why”. It is hard to explain, but having perspective from the Cold War provides a lot of important context.

My youngest has been obsessed with 9/11 the last month or so. Im all for it - as it's history and it was certainly an important part of our history.

I’ve been dealing with the same. Two of the kids let it roll off and are on to the next thing moments later - my over-thinker is talking about concrete bunkers being the next home improvement project.

Congrats, Jake. Where is the new place? East valley is more convenient to meet up with me and @FrenchToasty for off-road shenanigans so I’m sure that was a factor in looking…

I always buy 4 when I do mine.

Edit: I bought 5 the first time just to be safe and to have a quart in the garage at all times.

    $90+ tax.

Sounds like good thinking to me.

He meant 4 qts of the ATF assuming a drain and fill on the transmission…

Chit. Tranny. My bad. Just one qt for now. I’m going to pull a sample for analysis and will backfill what I pull out. Results will decide whether I just start doing 4 qt changes over time or add a cooler first

Well, I tentatively decided on the kayak that I'm going to get. Still time for research plus I'm going to check local and semi-local on the crazy off chance of something directly comparable being fairly priced and in stock. (Not going to hold my breath on that though.) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WQ5NH2Q/?coliid=I1NWTTN5AR5M6L&colid=QLWKXVPKN54I&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Did you compare to Wilderness Systems kayaks? Only ask because when I researched people seemed to be loving the seats in them. Any kayak will be a fun time though.

They look like fantastic kayaks but man the price is high. The lowest priced fishing kayak they sell is $300 more than the one I linked. That being said I really appreciate you bringing them to my attention and I will research that one and see if it's $300 better or not.

Obviously flooding is never a good thing but I would be a liar if I didn't admit kayaking around the city sounds interesting. Also, had this and absolutely love it
