My daughter’s BF is Brazilian. He is going to school in Netherlands and she is over visiting. They’ve been watching a lot of the matches.

Her comment today was: “at we didn’t lose to Cameroon…”.

 

Soccer is un-American. Any game that can end in a tie isn't worth playing.

 

American football can end in a tie….

 

Haha true! The US team actually has some promise being a young team and a lot of them should be on the team again 4 years from now and get to play on home soil.

That Netherlands team was good. I haven’t seen a team that disciplined in holding their shape for the entire game like that in a long time. They should go far in the WC.

I can't play any of them, but if I have to watch one on TV it'd be golf. Jordan Spieth fan. Live, hockey.

 

I can get down with watching some golf. I’m horrible at it but seem to waste some money on it 3 to 4 times every summer.

 

Her shoe was untied, I was just trying to help. Last time I do anything nice for a stranger. I hope she trips on her lace and faceplants.

 

You will again someday. When the kids are teenagers they manage themselves. No need to make them breakfast or even the guilt of not helping your better half get the little ones going.

Yes. I need a deep sleep like that every few weeks to recharge my battery. Helps clear the residual stress too. Otherwise the stress keeps building and my battery never chargers higher than about 80%. It has been a few months so long overdue.

It was when he came to realize Solar Octane is really just Burnt Orange Pearl that he started to lose the drive and motivation to take pictures of it and post them.

 

Good deal, man. I know the feeling of just not being fully charged, so I'm glad you were able to get that boost. What fun projects will you be directing that new energy towards? You gonna go get that green truck muddy?

 

I've posted all but one photo that I have of it. I've been working and not had time to take pics. It's been sub zero temps and dark when I go to work and nearly the same when I head home.

As for the size, I've always been a grower, not a shower.

Same. SO doesn't look as good muddy as AG does, though. IDK about LR, as I've never seen them anywhere but parking lots.

Yes. I've never seen a tie football game, but I don't watch, so IDK if it's not possible.

 

Yes but only so many attempts in overtime and then it goes to a tie. I don’t remember how many attempts it is off the top of my head because it doesn’t happen very often. It did happen in one game this year I believe.

They used to keep going in OT...It has only been in the last 15 years or so that the rule changed. There were a couple of games that had gone 3-4 OTs and I guess the NFL decided that was too hard on the players or something.

If it's playoffs, they will not end in a tie though.

 

I know - but it was you posting something about the pearl being part of the paint (vs Inferno).

Any time I see "pearl" in a paint description, it makes me think of the white blizzard/wind chill jizz.

 

Understandable, and I had to do some research. Do you know what makes a pearl paint different from a metallic? Instead of aluminum flakes they use ceramic flakes. Makes them reflect the light a little different. Also, Blizzard Pearl is the baby batter white. Windchill Pearl actually looks like white with some depth. I quite like it.
