I used to joke around w/the wife all the time about this...

I wanted to start a clothing line called, "People off; people on" as a way of conditioning MF'rs how to use a damn elevator

...and hand out business cards, etc. to stupid people that violate this simple principle in life :D

Blowing out the undercoat w/a high volume blower (like a dryer you see at the groomer) is the best way to eliminate some of that unwanted hair...

Brushing loosens the undercoat and removes some of what's lying on the surface, but to really remove excess hair and reduce shedding you've got to blow it out

Something like this would be the cheapest version I'd go with...

    https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Gro...978052&sprefix=dog+dryer,aps,219&sr=8-15&th=1

Commercial grade will set you back about $200-$500 :hattip:

Community driven, but moderated/curated, paranormal wiki database. Think of the stuff in X-files but bigger. I'm just a casual fan and really only like it because I found a yootoober that reads through them like an audiobook and makes it much better than reading them myself.

I was just doing a google search on this. Looks like something I could read but never had heard of this until now. What YouTube channel is it you're listening to?

TheVolgun is the channel. If you're interested I recommend this video, as it's an intro to the concept of the SCP wiki. The first 5 minutes are the explanation. If you can make it ten it gives a little more definition of the classifications. After that even he says it's a good point to dive into it and see if you like the universe.

    good point.

the beer distrib had a HR dept that just threw bodies at the vacancies. it was tough on the mgr to "develop" those cretons. AND..when I started applying metrics to the HR dept, I got reprimanded!!!

here at the warehouse, we let the guys sort out the workers. they hire from their network of friends, and we spiff them with a finders fee. we have VERY little turnover.

bad mgrs is a deeper problem. they know how to hide & blame subordinates. it's sad. it takes an adept leadership team to see that bullshit.

ass-kissing, these days, appears to be a fine art.

bacon should be the sole determinator.

I have no room in my life for bacon deniers.

FTR - i love bacon made in the microwave - on one of those hanging racks. super crispy. :crapstorm:

Sorry I missed the steak convo...

    https://youtu.be/Wucj-cHGTw4

Quick edit, though - - I disagree with most of this. Who starts a grill for a 1" thick steak? I don't know that I've bought meat that thin.

I bought all the other flavors there on the left a few years ago and had a taste test session with my kids. We all agreed they were gross.

Picking up my son from college tomorrow, so round 2 with the grape and lemonade will happen next week

Whatever this forum told me to do

    the story...

Sitting in Chik-fil-a with my wife & daughter...

I ordered a side salad with my 30count nugget.

The salad came with that delicious baggie of dried bell pepper chips...my daughter says....you know that's just unground paprika?

    the Earth stopped spinning.

I now lead a different life.

Think I broke the code with the younger generation’s lack of manners last night.

If you happen to be paying attention, i.e. your head isn’t in your phone, and do something to be polite before it needs to be done they won’t see the gesture. Their life (head in phone) hasn’t been disrupted. But if you wait to disrupt them, they will actually politely ask you to move (or whatever the situation is).

Last night wife, daughter and I were grocery shopping. My official job is to move the cart out of people’s way when my wife randomly stops and walks away (that’s a whole separate problem for another day). This happened twice in the same aisle yesterday.

The first time, I saw someone walking up to us so I had time to move the cart. Zero response from the hipster. His fucking world, we should just be honored to be here. The second time, he (a different he…or maybe “they”) came up behind me before I could react. It elicited a polite “excuse me” (but not a “thank you” after I moved the cart…head was already back in the phone). I call that a win.

So moral of the story…get in their way
