A few years ago all the small animals at my parents house and a few neighborhood cats disappeared within a few weeks, and we were told it was a Fisher cat.

I may get rid of it. The biggest predators we have are coyotes, but there's not a large population of them. Next in line are fox. People with chickens don't like 'em, but I don't mind them because I don't have chickens and they help keep the rodent and rabbit population in check. We have deer and the doe like to hang out on my property and raise their fawns there. But the coyotes, traffic and hunters keep the deer in check.
There's a nice happy balance and eco system where I am. Don't need no damn pole cat killin and chasin everything off.
I guess they're solitary and territorial, so there's probably only one.

Now I'm reading that Fisher cats don't scream or make much sound at all. The screaming noises are usually fox.
    The internet lies a lot.

I've owned my property now for just under 25 yrs. and never knew they existed around here till just last year. Freaked me out a little when I saw one while raking leaves one day, dark brown/black and at least 4 ft. long head to tail. :eek2::eek::eek2:

You should hang out here some night now that it’s cooling off. You can hear the peacocks down the road screaming like injured children. Was terrifying when we didn’t know about it right when we moved in.

I’d love to sleep outside your house!!!
Growing up we had neighbors kinda far, further than yours, and we could hear them most nights(the pea cocks)
Now my mom is convinced drug dealers live there, she’s probably right

We should definitely do some back yard camping haha

The “peacock house” by us was abandoned when we moved in. The new owners have dumped a SHITLOAD of money into it and evicted the cocks though. We think they moved next door to a house that’s surrounded by huge oleanders. It’s a literal (figurative) jungle.

That's cool. Then we can use the standard USB-C cable to charge it like we already had with the Android.

Taking the truck to get rustproofed today and I dropped the skid plate. Someone sure got it awful dirty up there (Also someone in the neighborhood must have been sneaking around tightening bolts on people's vehicles because holy shit were they tight)

You're lucky I don't live closer because I'd be leaving hotdogs in your truck.

Interesting dynamics in the GT household today. Apparently some house rules that were (re)established with our son a few weeks ago were not enforced, especially when I was traveling. So last night when I asked about it I got a flippant response from junior. Yeah, wrong time to try on your big-boy pants son.

Then the wife, who was sleeping, wanted to know what was going on. Now, it took me years to realize that when I get tuned up it’s better to calm down before re-engaging. We have a code word that I use when I’m at that threshold. I used it; she “bypassed” it. Okay then, game on.

On a related note, the freeways are amazing open at midnight on a Sunday. Also, with two blankets and three pillows the couch is amazing comfortable for sleeping.

Back at the dentist. I think this pain has evolved either in my gum or same tooth. I can’t pinpoint where it’s at and it’s been almost two weeks
