Tundras live: Agree to disagree (a lesson in civility)

Yes he is! And he is mixed with a breed I technically can't have in my house, but the paperwork says that he's a retriever mix which I'm allowed to have. I hate the fact that some of these breeds who have horrible reputations that really shouldn't either make your insurance rates go up or your insurance company will drop you all together if they know. It's extremely sad. He is such a lovable pup. We took him out to the yard to meet with him and see if he was a good fit for our family and when thin two minutes he was licking us, listening to commands, trying to sit in our laps and be all lovey.

So far he is... he is extremely dirty definitely needs a bath. He also has heartworms so we need to get him treated for that and he also has text so we need to treat him for that. But I think it'll be well worth the money spent. It's nice to know that veterans and Military members can adopt from the Fort Worth pound and receive the dogs for free.

 

That's really cool! Hope he turns into a great family edition with many years of happiness.

 

Hes beautiful ours is a lab mix as far as most places know too although he totally looks like a pit mix lol technically hes a lab pit mix but we've always told apartments hes a lab boxer mix lol but thankfully we've got a house now

 

Congratulations! I can't imagine a life without dogs considering the unconditional love that they bring into one's family. Enjoy many years with Brayden.

 

I have spent the last 4 years of my life without a dog and trust me it has really sucked I miss the companionship of a dog. He will be well loved

My older son has been asking to get a dog for a while now, and not giving up on the idea. I’m not so sure, as I’m pretty sure the care of it will end up all up to me, and most days (other than when I’m sitting around gimped) don’t have enough time as it is.

We had mainly outdoor dogs when I was growing up, but that was on property, not a small lot, and I’m not real keen on small indoor dogs. So we’ll see...

So we have found out he is toy aggressive...once he has his toy is becomes overly aggressive to protect it. You don't even have to be trying to grab it. So that's something we will have to work on....I'm not ok with that behavior. There are other minor things that need to be worked on also...but those will be easier than the aggression

Sounds like he just needs more toys.....much more toys. So many he cant even worry about it.

Lol yeah....not happening. I've dealt with that behavior before...it just sucks. and i don't want to be bit again.

 

They only treat for some things....he has his rabies shots and his other vaccines. It's easy to take care of. The vet can give him a pill to take and it kills the ticks and they fall off. I've saved a dog before that was easy worse than him. If memory serves me right.....the re is a heart worm medicine that always gets rid of ticks. Which is exactly what this young man needs

 

Ah, makes much more sense. I couldn’t figure out what it was supposed to say, hence my smartassedness.
