Whatever this forum told me to do
    I’ll add

the bitches in customer service clock in

    then

    make the coffee

    then

    make their breakfast

    then sit down and eat

I have no problem with that- as long as the work gets done and our customers are happy

    Deep down…..way down…. I’m compassionate

It honestly helps productivity when there is enough leniency to allow for stuff like this.

If somebody is breathing down your neck that you have to be continuously productive every single second, you are less productive due to stress and panic.

Engaged employees are the most productive, and no employee is engaged or gives a crap if they are treated like they are property of the company when they clock in.

You must be super angry about this whole internet, router, WiFi situation, as the spacing in your post is waaaaay off :boink:

It wasn't this bad during the 2024 muzzle brake debate :D

It's like a child that wakes up in the middle of the night (while the adults are still up)...enters the conversation; says a lot, but really says nothing!!

I saved a car payment every month after my 2006 Tundra was paid off, and paid cash for my 2020. Nice to walk off the lot owning it.

Truck and trailer are paid off (and wife's old Corolla, obviously).

We got a good rate on the Pilot and we're well on our way to paying it off.

I guess I'm the exception, I prefer to crap in the privacy and comfort of my home. If I need to drop a deuce at work, it means I am dealing with diarrhea or overdosed on fiber...:(

I would have no problem with tech support from the Philippines or central Europe. Sadly, we're rarely allowed to use them.

    Debt.

    Loathe it.

Truck and travel trailer are paid off.

0% loan on the Tesla, $20k down. $500/mo

2%-15 year loan on the house. $2700/mo. Trying to pay that bitch off in 12 years

I picked the right wife (actually she picked me. I still haven't sent her to the eye doctor about it). She just HAD to have this house - about $50k more than we had in our budget. Whatever - - happy wife happy life, and I'll get over myself about it. But then she sat down and did the books, we knuckled down hard and made huge extra payments, and paid it off in 4.5 years. That last payment took just about all of our savings except for IRAs and 401(k)s, but it made our paychecks way more powerful. That was 6 years ago. We paid less than $20k interest over the short life of the loan.

    She's a goodn.

Hot damn! Most folks don't even pay off a vehicle in 5 years. Our mortage is the only thing we still carry debt on. I'll be paying much more in interest that you did that's for sure.

Was down to just the house until I bought the new trailer two years ago. New trailer eventually led to new truck. Planned never to have another loan but since I’d been putting a “payment” into savings for a while I had a good down for the trailer. Retired that note late last year.

The truck is a bigger loan since someone had to get a diesel…but will knock it out in a few years. Busy saving a strike fund for a likely walk-out next Sept (2026). If we don’t strike that savings will nearly clear the truck note.

Some dipshit on the ford forum is trying to say that kuwait, where he lives, hit's 170°-180° during the summer. He's got some retarded idea that the highest recorded temperature records are done in the shade so in the direct sun it's hotter than the records. He also thinks kuwait is the hottest country on earth.

That level of stupid might be what finally has me deleting my account there.

I did the same for the near UPS strike in 2023 and the 15-day strike we had in 1997.
Some coworkers were in a panic, but we told them they should have been saving for it for the prior 3 or 4 years.

We didn't strike in 2023, I didn't think we would anyway.
Like you stated, so we had money saved for other things or just to keep saving..

I'll retire before the current contract expires 7/31/2028.
The CEO is already spouting off about restructuring the pension plans...:eek2:

I hope y'all don't have to strike, no one wins.
It's just a pissing contest between the company and the Union and the workers are caught in the middle..:(
