    Can you post pix?

NOPE. This will be cleaned up by tomorrow. Running wired cameras in.

Not bad. 20 mins or so. The job of the anode is to collect the mineral from the water so it doesnt attack the tank, and rot it out. They recommend every 2-5 years pending how soft your water is. Mine was at year 6, and I have semi-hard water. For $35, its worth the investment.

I'm just gonna throw this out here, it isn't worth starting a thread.

My 10-year-old Husqvarna weed eater died today.
    I'm not into troubleshooting it.

What is the general consensus on electric weed eaters?
    I really don't have much to weed-eat.
It takes me around 20 minutes to do everything I need to do.

I already have several Dewalt 20v batteries and recently bought couple 24v Kobalt batteries when I bought my 5 gallon bucket mister..
Kobalt 7-in 24-Volt 3-Speed High Velocity Indoor or Outdoor Blue Misting Floor Fan (Battery and Charger Included) in the Portable Fans department at Lowes.com

From what I've read, the 60V stuff does a better job.
I've always preferred the power of gasoline.
    What say you?

    TIA..

    I hate that saying
    It should be 24/365
    Or 24/7/52.14
    It’s NOT 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. That’s just dumb

I'll never buy another gas trimmer. I got an e-go because they were in stock locally. Zero regrets.

I tried to wipe it a bit, which probably wasn't very smart.

I hope my state doesn't ban gas trimmers, I've got too much property for electric shit.

My 8 y/o Husqvarna takes everything I throw at it with very little maintenance.

I'm usually all for gas, it's just more effective. That being said if you have a smaller area, the convenience of electric is hard to pass up. Our house is on about 1/4 acre, rock landscape up front so only the back yard is grass. Because of my fucked up back, the wife had taken up mowing duties, but hated trying to start the old gas mower which was getting old. As much as I hate to admit it, I took up our local communist gubment's offer of $150-50 to turn our evil gas equipment in for Home Depot credit for electric shit since my stuff was old AF anyways. I got their 40v system and have been pleasantly surprised by it. That being said, if you have land, stick with gas.

If your typical weed eating job is 20 minutes, electric all the way. If you’re invested in a particular battery ecosystem, get whatever that mfgr has. The higher Ah 20v batteries from dewalt will be more than enough, and are more compatible than having to use a 60V for one tool. I don’t have any experience with the Kobalt stuff. Like Adam said, eGo is a reputable and solid choice - especially if you are considering any of their other electric yard tools.
I personally have the Milwaukee M18 Fuel quick-lok setup with both brush cutter and pole saw attachments, and plan on getting the string trimmer attachment as well. I’m ALMOST ready to get rid of my gas Stihl brush cutter, except there are times where I need to spend 4-5 hours doing battle with blackberries (I have 5 hilly acres) and that is a time I’m not sure I’m ready to quite commit to battery power (though I do plan to try it here soon).

I'm too poor to black it out. Just have to cover it with my hand when it's sunny.

My lot is about a 1/4 acre as well.
All I have to trim is the driveway, foundation, sidewalk/curb, and the back yard fence.

My wife wants me to hire someone to mow like I did when I had back surgery.
I didn't like the way they did it.
She will mow, but she mows like a Rumba vacuum, all over the fuckin' yard.
No way she is gonna weed eat.

I'm eyeing the one @GODZILLA recommended.
I'll buy it, run it in the garage a bit, and take it back if I don't like it before I hit the yard with it.

I'll never give up my Toro gas mower.
17 years years old and still starts on the first or second pull..

It's hard to say what takes longer after a family camping trip - unloading the truck and putting all the gear away or cleaning the truck inside and out.

Wet vac. My wife bought one to clean rugs and our dog’s bed with, and it has been really great for cleaning kids’ food and drink stains on cloth truck seats as well.

For now that kids only get water and things like Cheerios in the truck. But I'm sure that will change when they get older.

Putting the gear away. It needs to be aired out, dried, inspected for damage, repairs made, inventory taken and restocked then repacked and staged for quick access for the next trip.

Truck is a quick wash, interior wipe down and vacuum. 1.5 hours max.

The amount of property is why i keep the Stihl brush cutter, the Husqvarna chain saw with 24” bar, and the DR mower brush hog. But (with exception of the DR because it’s the only way I can mow) the number of times in a year that the gas tools get used is pretty small

Like others said, get the trimmer that uses the batteries you already have. I don't have any battery tools, so I didn't care. Now I wish I had gone Dewalt or Milwaukee.
