Yeah. A buddy of mine said the first time he smelled burning people it made him hungry because it smelled like smoked pork. He thought somebody was cooking. Didn't know it was people.

Speaking of car wrecks;
We were waiting to go in a haunted house last night, heard loud grinding and saw a lady plow into three cars.
I went over to check on everybody involved. Poor old lady said she was trying to brake but couldn't, i think she had her foot half on gas/brake.
Her last ditch effort was to apply the e-brake and downshift. I think she ultimately threw it in park (grinding noise just before the wreck)

Her Rav4 was totalled, no airbags deployed oddly enough.
Totaled a parked Pathfinder, broke the front driver tire off and sent the axle down the street.
Impala in traffic got their bumper smashed in.
Minor damage to a Jeep GC in traffic.

Crazy part is that a family just parked and left the Pathfinder 90 seconds before the wreck, that could of been bad..

 

Yeah I was going to say something about the divers I used to work with that were on the salvage team. Instead I think it's time for this.

Opposable thumbs!

 

Yeah, my daughter's convinced that her, the cat's, offspring would take over the world. Four feet with opposable thumbs. Fortunately, she had the cat neutered.
All four feet have multiple opposing thumbs and the cat uses them to pick up stuff like crayons that the grandkids leave on the floor, by picking them up like your or I would. It's pretty impressive.

 

This right here is the GZ that I've come to know and respect. And knowing this part of who you are was one of the reasons I was pushing so hard yesterday. That's a solid response for clarification and also shows your ability to take what you dish. Cheers

 

Just a fellow human learning as I go. Highs and lows, ups and downs, just like anyone else.

 

Man suicide is such a messed up trauma for anyone close to the departed. That one hits close to home for me and can't imagine how hard it also is on the first responders having to pick up the pieces.

 

Being human is the key part. The aliens and robots never learn from their behavior and just keep making it worse for us humans.

 

Not that my opinion really matters, but I am grateful that these really long intellectual posts have finally come to an end, it gives me hope for the future of this thread.

 

I think the best answer is an overloaded dodge ram. Lucky for us, it does appear that the camper is extremely secure from the ratchet straps and in no way could accidentally slide off. And then we have the Yaris that's being lived out of right next to the truck. It's really a whole mess of meme material.

Friends of ours have a cat with thumbs like that. Freakishly cool. Didn’t realize it was so common.

Man, I just stumbled across a SMOKING deal on a Scamp trailer. Tried to get my buddy to pounce on it, but he's not ready to buy a trailer yet, and it's a long drive to get it.

Anyone in here looking to get a tiny trailer for camping? @LarryDangerfield your Taco would haul it great and you're not so spoiled that you'd turn your nose up at the smaller space in it.
