We got roped into the border patrol shows on HBO and Netflix. I have mad respect for our officers manning the southern border. What a chitshow. But I can see how that uncontrollable influx of population migration can…umm… put unnecessary pressures on the local populations.

Well there is where we have to agree to disagree  My wife is 10 years younger and she has always wanted a view. My health is going to shit (at least it seems like to me) and I figured when I am gone it is all hers that she has to look at everyday so making her happy. It is not my long lived dream to shovel snow, I did that for 30 years in Missouri before I moved to Arizona

EDIT: Oh... it is soooo freaking different building in Colorado. No contractors licenses necessary, nobody does everything but a lot do something. Very freaking confusing but I have done architecture drafting and my wife comes from a contractor family background

Our last dog, a greyhound, would get a case a case of the "zoomies" in the backyard, all of a sudden he would start doing laps in a circle on the grass. He would be going at it so hard that he would literally throw a roost of grass and dirt from his paws. I honestly worried that he would break a leg because how intense he would go and how much would get dug up.

Hard times are a coming. These basic food chains are hurting for customers due to affordability of dining out. And it's just getting started.

They closed and tore down a Joe's Crab Shack not far from here.
It was all shit fried food anyway.

Outback is building a new restaurant less than a mile away from me.
Not a big fan but we'll probably check it out.

Been excited to load up the trailer all week. Now that it is time, my brain flatlines. I probably packed one pair of socks, two underwear and 16 sweatshirts.

You'll be fine. No need for any of that. Just bring enough to eat and drink. Everything else will fall into place.

I disagree. Living in the desert I have little use for a sweatshirt, but I can't free-ball it, just feels wrong.

Heat expands the sack. Cold contracts it. I see your point and agree, even if I disagree for my personal climate.

Exactly. If it gets hot enough you can get ball to inner thigh stickage, which is not a good thing.

Go for it while you can. We moved 2.5 years ago, and started the whole process 3.5 years ago. My health took a nosedive about 6 weeks ago, ended up with a pacemaker. Do it while you can.

That’s basically what I am doing. Unpacking at the campsite should be fun.

Headed to the coast. Got a 120 mile trip tomorrow…all highway…that should take about 3.5-4hrs! But all good after we arrive.

It is funny to hear the eggheads talk about it. Was listening to an economics podcast this week about inflation vs. the mood of the people. They talked a few points and I was just yelling back “No, that’s not it you phuking idiots.”

Then they finally mentioned that food prices are up 20-25% the past four years and will likely never recede. Ding! Ding! And the hosts just acted like it was a secondary issue.

WTF… who doesn’t buy food on the regular!?
