I took off work today to drop off the truck for the cam tower repair and go to a dental appointment.
While at the 1:00 dental appointment, I got a call from the home alarm company.
They stated the rear door was opened while the alarm was set.
I told them everything was fine and gave the passcode or 'safe' word whatever you want to call it.

My wife worked from home today and I figured she screwed something up.
Called her and asked what was up.
She said she let the dogs out and the smoke alarms went off.
It was the home alarm she was hearing and she got it turned off...

What happened was that I must have butt-dialed the alarm app and set the alarm at 14:05 while I was up and down at the oral surgery office.
They had me doing consent forms, x-rays, taking pics, and meeting with the doctor, all with my phone in hand..
She opened the back door at 14:06 to let the dogs out and the alarm went off..

Wish I could blame her for this, but it was my fuck up..

I don't think I've peed in a sink since the 90's. I just go outside and piss in my yard anymore these days though. Especially if I'm working or wrenching on anything.

 

This has the be the greatest of all time phone mishaps.


I didn't even know you could still have an active hotmail account though. Makes this whole story even more classic.

 

Breaking News: All of Wyoming goes dark. Turns out the electrical grid for the entire state is connected to one master switch located in a Washington State dam.

And due to OSHA LOTO laws, the lock securing the switch can only be removed by the electrician that attached the lock. Unfortunately that electrician has taken a two-week vacation.

 

On a local co-op. He can do whatever he wants.
