Hi all. I might go checkout a 2017 crewmax at 140000 mi Mark. What should I be looking for on ones around that many miles? Also is that still a good mileage to buy a tundra at?

Holy guacamole. Unless it has been in a kudzu patch and infested with fire ants I say: BUY IT. Tell Mark that McGov says "hi."

Valve gasket leaks, power steering weeps, rear differential weeping, shock oil on housing, battery date, brake pads & rotors, oil cap check for water froth or oil discoloration, transmission shifting in both TOW/HAUL and regular, stereo sound, stations check, CD player, etc...make sure AC and heater works well too...that's what I'd check.. I'd be surprised if you found more than x2...

What do you think is the best mileage range for buying used in your opinion?

0-100k is ideal, but these motors, either 4.6 or 5.7, are routed for their reliability...honestly, you'd be fine at nearly any mileage. I found my '14 with 52k in 2018...I was looking for something under 60k as a rough rule-of-thumb, but would have been happy as I am now if it were more...the best thing is to find the maintenance that has been done, regular LOF, transmission services, recalls, etc...if you have that, you shouldn't be swayed by a vehicle's mileage too much... I'm not sure I answered your question but it's a Toyota, you'll be okay no matter what.

Honestly, anything past 100K, I'd also check axle seals, driveshaft etc, on top of what others have been stating. Also check to see if 4WD functions. Check the frame for rust damage if it's from a snow state. Honestly, a comprehensive inspection by a qualified tech may cost a little upfront, but having someone experienced inspect your truck may uncover any issues us enthusiasts can't identify.

Yeah I think past 100k miles I am significantly lowering any offer as the chance of costly repairs goes up.

For an example my 18 just rolled 97k and I have not noticed any issues other than ones I have caused myself. At 140k id be looking at the timing set, and looking for maintenance history.
As long as they didnt ignore oil changes or any MAJOR maintenance, id scoop it up
