    My 2012 Tundra; Love it

I had it for 12 years, and love it. The only one problem was the Air pump in the front right corner it was rusty. That rusty causes the air intake actuator to stop air from going out. This is the main problem with Tundra, No power to climb up hills only on flat roads.
So, I changed the Pump and those air actuators on both sides (sitting on top of the valve covers and now it's just like new again.

If you drive your Tundra on a rainy day, try not to splash a lot of water through your front right tire. That is where the air pump is located around that area. The more water you splash, it might go into the pump funnel and make the pump rusty, and later you won't have the power to go up hills. you can't drain it out. Hope this will solve some problems of a no power to climb up hills. Than you

Hi, On your Tundra truck, on the front right tire, there is a cover to the front, behind that cover is the pump that supplies air up to both diverted units sitting on the valve cover. Just follow the rubble hose and you will find it. If that pump is rusted, your vehicle will not make it up hills. It might go but slowly.

Are you trying to say it went into limp mode because of the air injection pump failure?

AIP going out isn’t all that uncommon. It’s not common. But it happens. When it goes out, the truck goes into limp mode. Welcome to the site, but none of this is new information on a platform that’s been around since 07.

    Too many mods to come
You can relocate the intake pump portion. Common mod.

2012 is the worst year for air pump problems....also change your airfilter every 10K
