I just thought it would be humorous to mention this while also allowing me to continue to cool off. I live in Monterey, CA and people use my complex as a thoroughfare and speed through--it's been a problem. I caught a bike doing it while leaving, and it's somewhat difficult to see when leaving my parking area. If it weren't for the sound, I'd never have seen the motorcycle zooming through. I love tapped my horn to get his attention and asked him to slow down. I get it, I ride motorcycles, but come on. We argued for awhile then I said whatever and drove off. Unfortunately, down the road the intersection was a red light and he split lanes to pull up and continue to argue. I kind of saw it coming being a rider, but as the light turned green he punched my passenger side mirror and took off. Not like I was going to catch the guy. Why isn't this in off topic? I'd like you to know that either the guy punches like a pussy or the Gen 3 (2020) mirrors can take a punch without any damage. Just had to rotate the housing back and adjust the mirror.

I never thought as a motorcyclist I'd be targeted for the classic mirror punch by some squid.

HOT Edit: Do you guys run dash cams, what do you think about getting one after this?

LOL, I was not expecting that. Holy cow!

That's a bummer, that's why I have a WILCO vertical tailgate. I backed into the stair extrusion in my parking spot when it was brand new and it proved too much to cope with lol.

yeah i recently bought a dash cam after watching a video on a FB tundra group where a cyclist in the bike lane made a left turn in front of a tundra without hand signaling. tundra driver hit his arse and took him down. he was ok but could have easily said it was tundra drivers fault.

I run a Thinkware camera with one in the front and one out the rear.

Totally worth it for when hipster soy boys riding to cannery row down to Lighthouse on their single speed want to let out their aggression from living in moms basement and not having cold brew at the Safeway.

Lol, well put. Definately made me chuckle. I found a decent looking Vava 2k dual camera that seems to work well and is affordable. I'll keep looking around at cams.

I highly recommend getting a dash cam, I think everyone should have one. I have the blackvue dr750s and recommend it, but it's expensive.

Hey man, I’m in the Monterey area also. Some people here just don’t know how to act. Sorry to hear.

I've probably seen you driving around, I have the white pro with the rack and RTT. Give me a honk if you see me! I noticed the glass was slightly separated from the plastic backing when my OCD kicked in to check more thoroughly. Ordered a new one in case and used a heat gun to heat up the mirror and reapply the adhesive backing. Seems to have worked!

Good looking truck! I got a Black Pro. Just got some SCS Ray 10s today. I got some buddies that hit up Hollister Hills every once in a while. Let me know if you want to roll with sometime

Yeah, my friend and I are looking to go camping. Right before this all hit I got all my gear. I work at NPS so I have additional restrictions that keep me local. But I believe Hollister is considered local. I have to check.

Edit: Yup that's close enough. I'm free from the June 8th until July 6th lol. Summer break! I can PM you my cell.

He thought he was one punch man! That probably hurt

Dashcams are potentially worth orders of magnitude more than their investment cost.

Almost hit one running a blind stop sign last week. My ABS didn't engage and the screaming tires got him to stop at the edge of my lane potentially saving his life. We both should have worn the brown pants that day.

Now I gotta wear off the flat spots on my Michelins dang it all
