My 2011 Tundra has this strange hesitation going into gear when I stop and take off again. It does it every time. Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

Great question on the fluid level. I just bought the truck, there are no leaks anywhere which leads me to believe the fluid level would not fluctuate. However, I am taking int in to have the trans serviced just to be sure.

    Many on the way.
A reman’d transmission is only $3100 right from Toyota.

Had the transmission serviced. Be fluid, filter and they did what they called a triple flush. The issue is still there. The only way I can describe it is it is like a stall speed converter when taking off from a stop.

What did the mechanic think it might be?

They want me to bring it back in. I don’t think that they drove it enough to understand what it was doing.

damn, triple flush??? They probably ruined your transmission... People usually do drain and fill and flushes tend dislodged debris and lodge them in vital areas. You may want to evade any further flushes and try with a drain and fill and hope this partially corrects the issue. Maybe have them test the transmission computer.

I think my '08 crewmax has the opposite issue going on. When I come to a stop and sit at a red light, it feels like it downshifts about 30 seconds or so after I stop.
